Magellan Forest Reserve is located just 9 kilometers from the city of Punta Arenas. In it there are hiking trails that cross in the middle of the vegetation and native forests of the Magallanes Region. All of this is coupled with a spectacular panoramic view of Punta Arenas, Strait of Magellan, Tierra del Fuego and the Cordillera Darwin.

Magdalena Island Nature Reserve is located 45 kilometers from Punta Arenas. It is inhabited by approximately 70,000 pairs of Magellanic penguins, one of the largest penguin colonies in southern Chile. To access the island, we navigate the waters of the Strait of Magellan Don Pedro Sarmiento de Gamboa and Ferdinand Magellan did centuries ago. During the navigation, we will have a beautiful postcard image of Punta Arenas’ diverse avifauna as well as gulls, cormorants and bottlenose dolphin.
 
Fort Bulnes

The excursion to the first Chilean enclave in the Magallanes region, Fort Bulnes was founded around 1843. This national monument is located 57 kilometers south of Punta Arenas. On your tour, you will visit the fishing village of Bahia Mansa and near the historic fort "Port Famine", where ruins stand in place where in 1584 Pedro Sarmiento de Gamboa founded the city of Rey Don Felipe. Finally, we stop at the milestone that marks the midpoint from Visviri to the Chilean Antarctic.

Tour the city of Punta Arenas, which includes a visit to the main attractions of the Chilean Patagonia capital. Punta Arenas was founded in 1848 and located along the Strait of Magellan. The tour includes visit to the Plaza de Armas, Cerro Mirador de la Cruz where we can get a panoramic view of the city, the Strait of Magellan, El Puerto and the island of Tierra del Fuego. The Penguin Colony of Seno Otway is located just 60 miles northwest of Punta Arenas. Come discover this important nature reserve inhabited by some 8,000 pairs of the species "Magellanic Penguin". These birds occupy an area of rolling hills and plains between mid October and March. There is also an abundant amount of birdlife including the rhea, foxes, flamingos and geese that live and populate the area.
